Voorlopige verslag oor Eurowings-voorval bekend

Die ministerie van werke en vervoer het ’n voorlopige verslag uitgereik rakende ’n insident waar ’n Eurowings Discover Airbus A330-200 te hard op die aanloopbaan by die Internasionale Lughawe Hosea Kutako geland het.

Die vlug met 11 bemanningslede en 263 passasiers aan boord het glo op 19 Februarie omstreeks 17:14 geland.

Geen beserings of sterfgevalle is aangeteken nie en volgens die ministerie se verslag is daar ook geen merkbare skade aan die vliegtuig nie.

Die vliegtuig is volgens die hoofondersoeker, Hafeni Mweshixwa, steeds by die lughawe hangende die nodige permitte om die tuig na Frankfurt te neem.

“Ons ondersoek hierdie geval sodat ons daaruit kan leer. Eerder as om te wag vir ’n volgende voorval wat dalk noodlottig kan wees, wil ons hieruit leer sodat ons kan verstaan hoe om dit in die toekoms kan voorkom,” het Mweshixwa gesê.
