Toename in besoekers van sentraal-Europa

Die Gasvryheidsvereniging van Namibië (HAN) het aangekondig dat besettingssyfers vir die derde kwartaal van die jaar ’n kwartpersent op is teenoor dieselfde tydperk in 2019. Dít glo danksy ’n toename in besoekende toeriste van die sentrale dele van Europa met besoekers van Duitssprekende-lande asook Frankryk en Italië wat met 3% toegeneem het in vergelyking met dieselfde tydperk in 2019.

HAN het egter beklemtoon dat die herstel van die breër toerismebedryf nie ooreenstem met akkommodasie-besettingsyfers nie – wat volgens HAN daarop dui dat toeriste verkies om hulle verblyf aanlyn te bespreek en met gehuurde voertuie die land te verken.

Voorafbesprekings vir toergroepe dui volgens HAN op ’n verwagte toename in hierdie sektor se groei vir 2024.

Ontspanningsdoeleindes is glo die hoofrede vir besoeke aan Namibië, maar hotelle het glo ook in die derde kwartaal van hierdie jaar ’n geleidelike toename in die vraag na sake- en konferensiepakette opgemerk.
