Top gymnasts scoop medals at nationals

Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) recently hosted its national championships to crown the country’s best gymnasts across Levels 1 to Senior Olympic categories in both women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics at Crete Gymnastics Club in Windhoek.

The event also served as preparation for the upcoming Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Indonesia, set for 19 to 25 October, and the Region 5 Gymnastics Tournament, which Namibia will host in December.

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG)

Senior FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) category

Gymnasts 16 years and over: 1 Jonie Thorburn (Crete), 2 Surenshi Andre (Crete).

Junior FIG (ages 13 to 15): 1 Mila Barnard (Crete).



International Development Programme (IDP, ages 9 to 11): 1 Arianna Moodley (Crete), 2 Milan Schutte (Crete), 3 Otja Katjerungu (Crete).



Level 7

Gymnasts 13 years and over: 1 Celine Dennis (Crete), 2 Tirza Oudshoorn (Crete).

Gymnasts 12 years and under: 1 Matifadza Pote (Crete), 2 Elanza Steyl (Walvis Bay Gymnastics Club).



HP (High Performance) categories
