Swakopmund to host African Marketing League
The third round of the 2026 African Marketing Fistball League will take place at SFC Swakopmund this Saturday, as teams continue their fight for valuable league points.
After the first two rounds, the A League could hardly be closer at the top. CFC 1 and SFC 1 are level on 22 points, while SKW 1 follows in third place with 15 points. CFC 2 currently has eight points, with SKW 2 on two points.
The three leading teams will face each other throughout the day in Swakopmund.
With CFC 1 and SFC 1 separated only by the current tiebreak situation, the results of their encounters could have a major impact on the standings heading into the fourth and final league round in September.
SKW 1 will also be looking to close the gap to the leaders.
In the B League, SKW 3 has made a dominant start to the season and currently leads with 24 points. SFC 2 follows on 13 points, while CFC 3 and SKW 4 are tied on 10 points.
SFC 3 has collected seven points, while SKW 5 is still searching for its first points of the season. The teams will have another opportunity to improve their positions before the final league round.
U18 League
The U18 League remains particularly open behind leaders SKW 1, who currently have nine points. CFC 1, SKW 2 and SFC 1 are all tied on four points, meaning the battle for the remaining positions is still wide open.
The youth competitions will again form an important part of the tournament programme. The first U12 matches begin at 8:00, followed by the U15 matches from 9:30.
The senior A and B League matches begin at 11:00, with the final games scheduled for the afternoon. The A League is played in a best-of-five format, while the B League uses best-of-three sets.
The U18 and U15 competitions consist of two sets, meaning that draws are possible. The U12 category is also played over two shorter sets.
The league season is approaching its second half and another round is on the cards for September. The third round in Swakopmund will provide another important opportunity for teams to strengthen their positions.
