Stars wary of wounded Young African

African Stars coach Benedictus Haoseb has send out caution to the players to be wary of a vengeful Young African team when the two teams meet in the Debmarine Namibian Premiership tonight. The match will be played at the Independence Stadium just days after the two teams met in the MTC Maris Cup final at the Hage Geingob Stadium. African Stars recently pocketed N$1,5 million, after Willy Stephanus goal in the 30th minute proved to be the only goal of the match against Young African on Saturday. The Stars coach says the team has recovered well and are looking forward to battling against their foes on a different platform. “Look, we have to put the victory we had against them at the back of our minds now and focus on this important match.“I know for sure that Young African FC are wounded and will definitely come into this match seeking revenge after that big game on Saturday.“We are however preparing well for them because we already had a proper recovery training and we will just do some more work before the match,” Haoseb said. Different styleThe coach further notes that he is aware that Young African FC will be studying their tactics of the Saturday match in order to have a different approach to this match.Haoseb however said that the team will try and adjust his tactics in the match in order to pose a different threat to their rivals.“We have to take a different approach towards this match and make sure that we get the maximum points. “The league is just as important and our aim is to get as much points on the table as we can in order to defend the title.“I think everyone involved with the club are well aware of our plans and desires to keep improving and defending our title,” Haoseb added. African Stars and Young African currently have the same points on the table,with Stars having played a match less than their rivals. The defending champions are currently seated at the top of the table with 22 points from 11 matches, while Young African FC linger in third with 22 points from 12 matches. Haoseb will be comforted by the fact that African Stars have already scored 17 goals, while only conceding eight this season. Young African have however has a better defensive record given that they have only conceded five goals, while netting 11 this season.
