The pair finished ahead of Schalk van Wyk and Grant Mather, who placed second with 44 points, while David Peake and Jonathan Mather completed the podium in third place. Shayamano and Mudzingwa will now represent the club at the regional play-offs in Rossmund, where they will compete against other qualifying teams.

The competition also saw four golfers record two-clubs during play. Piet Fox, Piet van Niekerk, Grant Mather and Shane Westerdale each received N$50 for the achievement.

Meanwhile, Shane Westerdale emerged victorious in the club's annual Race to Membership competition after chipping in on the 18th hole to seal the win. The tournament offers annual membership and green fees valued at approximately N$12,000. Koot Potgieter, Wilma de Wet and Tienie de Wet were also in contention for the title.

The weekend also saw Wouter van Wijk win the World Cup Soccer Pool, finishing ahead of Willie van Zyl in second place, while Nardo Sardinha and Bertus Venter shared third place. Shane Westerdale claimed top honours in the Open Pool, followed by Willie Venter Jr. and Emile Vilbert.

The club's weekly Joker Draw remains unclaimed after Wynand Moller drew the King of Hearts instead of the winning card, increasing the jackpot to N$32,000 for this weekend's draw.

Walvis Bay Golf Club will host Tsumeb Golf Club this weekend for their annual challenge, with the defending champions bringing 12 teams to compete for the trophy.
