Qualifiers advance from King Price International Pairs regional final

The Windhoek Golf Club proudly hosted the regional final of the King Price International Pairs series for 2025 last weekend.

It was an eclectic and nail-biting contest with 74 players competing and showcasing exceptional quality of golf throughout the day.

Brilliant scores came in and the winning pair walked away with an impressive 46 points, secured by Antonio Gamito and Hendrik du Toit.

Every golf club in the country extends a very warm thanks to King Price for their support and making this series possible. ABInBev sponsored the prizes.

Thirty-six pairs from around the Central region participated in the one-day event.

The following sixteen qualifiers will square off in the finals on 6 and 7 September at Windhoek Golf Club and Omeya. The winning team will travel to the world finals to South Africa (Sun City) later in the year.

The leading results were as follows:

1 Antonio Gamito and Hendrik du Toit, 46 points.

2 JR Strydom and Joubert Steyn, 45.

3 Milton Eiseb and Fergusson Paulse, 44.

4 Elias Mulombwelwa and Monty Rukoro, 44.

5 Anton Smit and Pieter Conradie, 44.

6 Peter Shikongo and Peter Nghinyotwa, 42.

7 Marco Vollgraaff and Melt van Schoor, 42.

8 Desmond van der Merwe and John Williams, 42.

9 Albert de Klerk and Jared Matthews, 42.

10 Morné Blaauw and Dewald van der Merwe, 42

11 Peter Johns and Johannes Crafford, 41.

12 Dewald du Rand and Freddie Koch, 41.

13 John Chadyiwa and Wisdom Moyo, 40.

14 Jano (JT) van der Walt and Shaun Smith, 40.

15 Meriki Shoozi and Chris Claassen, 39.

16 Alvine Samuel and Likius Nande, 39.

ASM and King Price extend thanks to each and every player for their support throughout the year.

The prize for nearest to the pin at hole nr 9 was won by Jorg von Kunow, while Joubert Steyn produced the longest drive at hole nr 18.
