Nauseb looking forward to new role
The newly appointed interim coach of Unam FC, Robert Nauseb said they will try by all means to get 18 points to close the gap with other clubs in the DebMarine Premiership.
Nauseb who played professional football for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa replaced Ronny Kanalelo who was sacked by the team.
Nauseb said that the mandate he was given by the club is to get it away from the 11th position they find themselves in, to a much safer place on the log in the second half of the season.
This Nauseb said is possible looking at the standing of other clubs and the points they have (18 points). He added that they signed very young players but need an experienced striker to help them get the goals they need.
Nauseb will be assisted by senior player Willem ‘Dudes’ Mwedihanga who is currently nursing an injury and looking to take up more of a management role in the club. As it stands, the log is led by African Stars (with 36 points) followed in second by Khomas Nampol (with 34 points) and Ongos FC in third (with 32 points). The second half of the season is slated to start early next year.
