Mwiya graduates with PhD

OFFICIALLY DR MWIYA: Namibia Sports Commission chief administrator Freddy Mwiya (right) has graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management from San Sebastian College in Manila, the Philippines.

Mwiya successfully defended his dissertation, titled Sustainable Practices in Namibia’s Sports Industry Towards an Integrated Strategic Framework.

The study examined economic, environmental, social and governance challenges affecting Namibia’s sports sector and proposes strategies to strengthen its long-term sustainability.

According to Mwiya, the research is among the first of its kind in Namibia and addresses an area that has received limited academic attention both locally and in the wider Southern African region. Photo: Contributed
