Kannemeyer linked to Mariental Sports Club
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns left-back David Kannemeyer is being courted by Namibian Southern Stream First Division side Mariental Sports Club.
According to Kick Off, Kannemeyer visited Namibia, had discussions with the club management and it looks like talks were positive.
Kannemeyer, who had a professional career from 1995 to 2012, also represented South African national team. He holds a CAF B coaching license and told Kick Off he has no choice but to look for employment outside South Africa, as young coaches are side-lined.
He said if things go well, he will arrive in Namibia next month.
As it stands, Mariental Sports Club stands fifth on the log standing with 10 points from seven matches played.
