Four newbies earn spots in MTC NNPL

After a thrilling showdown of outstanding performances by teams from across the country, the four successful teams advanced into the MTC NNPL are decided.
The MTC Namibia Netball Premier League (NNPL) promotional playoffs were held in Windhoek on Saturday.
The ten-team tournament at the United courts in Olympia saw Eastern Chiefs from Kavango East, Tsumeb Netball Club from Oshikoto, Unam Jaguars from Khomas and Unam Ogongo from Omusati reign supreme to advance into the coveted MTC Netball NamibiaPremier League for next year.
Netball Namibia president, Rebekka Goagoses, expressed her heartfelt congratulations on the teams’ outstanding success at the playoffs. She said their dedication, skill and sportsmanship have earned the clubs a well-deserved spot in the highest league in the country for the upcoming season.
The teams’ diversity, each hailing from different regions of Namibia, is a testament to the widespread love and popularity of netball across the country, she said.
“Their qualification ensures that netball fans from every corner of Namibia will have the opportunity to enjoy high-quality premier league netball, highlighting the inclusive nature of this fantastic sport,” said Goagoses in a congratulatory statement.
The federation further extended its warm wishes for a successful and exhilarating season in the premier league, encouraging them to continue showcasing the spirit of teamwork, determination and fair play that has brought them this far.

The teams that, despite their best effort, did not secure a spot in the league, were advised to embrace resilience and growth, essential aspects of sports.
“Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. View this as an opportunity to learn and come back even stronger next year. Your commitment to the sport is commendable, and we look forward to seeing your continued progress.
