Emvula takes the prize at Windhoek Golf Club

The Windhoek Golf Club once again presented a massive club competition last Saturday that had everyone talking. The day was filled with great golf, excitement and incredible atmosphere.

With an impressive 40 points, Ester Emvula walked away with the overall prize.

The lucky draws saw golfers Andre Visser, Garneth Simila and Wisdom Moyo walk away with biltong sponsored by The Corner Butcher.

Leading results:

A division: 1 Ronald Beukes (35), 2 Buys Matheus (34).

B division: 1 Aldo Beukes (38), 2 Wilfried Emvula (37)

C division: 1 Walter Bredenhann (37), 2 Ian Wood (35).

D division: 1 Julene van Schoor (33, count-out), 2 Chantel Visser (33)

Prrizes sponsored by Sika Namibia for closest to the pin shots were won by Ndadhi Ndoroma (hole 3), Matheus Buys (hole 9), Wilfried Emvula (hole 13) and Fillemon Hambuda (hole 17).

WALVIS BAY

Walvis Bay Golf Club hosted a total of 46 players participating in the Multisave Medal, Medal Masters and Medal Mania last weekend.

Winners on the day were as follows:

Best nett: 1 Jakkie de Witt (72, on count out), 2 Roche Pitout (72), 3 Thomas Wolff (72).

Best gross: Sam Nel (74).

Most stableford points: Shane Westerdale (38), Pieter Fox (36).

Only one player managed a birdie on a par-3 hole, namely Wilma de Wet.
