Newly established ALV Consulting Engineers FC announced themselves as a rising football force after winning the 2026 NFA Cup (Northern Side) following a dramatic two-day campaign filled with comebacks, penalties and unforgettable moments.

The Engineers, who compete in the Oshana Central Third Division League (OCTDL), lifted their second trophy of the season after previously winning the Tse Ya Kuku tournament last month.

Their latest triumph has further strengthened belief that the ambitious club could soon become one of the most competitive teams in regional football.

ALV began their NFA Cup journey on Saturday, 9 May, with a solid 2-0 victory over Efindi Wanders FC in the Round of 16.

Drogba and Next were on target as the side comfortably secured progression to the quarterfinals.

Later that day, the Engineers faced Northern Ballers Boys in a demanding quarterfinal encounter. Despite trailing 2-0 during the opening stages of the match, ALV showed resilience to fight their way back into the contest.

A goal before halftime gave the side renewed hope before they found the equaliser shortly after the break.

The match ended 2-2, forcing a penalty shootout where ALV held their composure to advance to the semifinals. Drogba and Hofney both played important roles in the comeback victory.

The following day, ALV returned to action against Dr. Hage FC in the semifinals.

Their opponents took an early lead in the seventh minute, but the Engineers once again demonstrated their fighting spirit by equalising in the 15th minute.

The match remained tightly contested until Kane scored the winning goal in the 75th minute to hand ALV a hard-fought 2-1 victory and a place in the final.

In the final, ALV faced rivals Lions FC in a derby clash that produced one of the most entertaining matches of the tournament.

Lions FC raced into a 2-0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes, placing ALV under heavy pressure. However, the Engineers responded impressively before halftime as Drogba scored twice and Katsande added another to complete a remarkable turnaround and give the side a 3-2 lead at the break.

Lions FC managed to level the score in the second half, sending the final into penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw.

ALV once again proved decisive from the spot as they converted their penalties to secure the NFA Cup title and complete a memorable tournament run.

Drogba was named Player of the Tournament after scoring five goals in four matches, including a crucial brace in the final.

The team is led by head coach Itewa Kristof, popularly known as ChrisChacho, alongside technical team members Temoteus Johannes (C-Life), Tifula Michael (Fuks) and Shimpulu David (Dave).

Club president M. Nyongesa also received praise for his leadership and continued support behind the scenes as the club continues to grow.

ALV Consulting Engineers FC currently sit third in the OCTDL standings, just one point behind the leaders with 11 matches remaining.

With two trophies already secured in their debut season, the Engineers are rapidly building a reputation as one of the most promising teams in Oshana Central football.
