Aangevuur deur ’n driekuns van die flank Wian Conradie het die Namibiese rugbyspan onder kapteinskap van Johan Deysel ’n dominerende en kliniese vertoning gelewer om Kenia met 36-0 te oorheers (rustyd 15-0) en sodoende die land se plek by die 202 Wêreldbeker in Frankryk te bespreek.

In ’n ietwat eensydige vertoning het Kenia hardnekkig verdedig, stewig geskrum en nooit moed opgegee nie, maar het ook geen raad gehad met Namibië se oorheersing van die gebiedsvoordeel te danke aan die hegte verdedigingslyn en die beheersde skopspel van Damian Stevens en Cliven Loubser nie.

Die Leeus-heelagter Divan Rossouw is as speler van die wedstryd aangewys vir ’n ewe indrukwekkende vertoning onder die hoë bal, as teenaanvaller en as taktiese skopper.

Namibië se bevestigde wedstrydprogram by volgende jaar se spogtoernoi is dus soos volg:

Wat is die nut om te kwalifiseer net om laaste in jou groep te eindig. Om teen Afrika spanne te speel en te wen is rerig nie iets om op trots te wees nie!! Daar het Wallis weereens bewys dat met sy selektiewe paar spelers is dit moontlik om SA te wen. Dink watter slagting sou dit wees as hulle teen die All Blacks moes speel waar geen politiek betrokke is nie en spelers word om meriete gekies!! Viva All Blacks!!
