Namibia face Zambia in final
Namibia's DebMarine Desert Jewels will face Zambia today at 16:00 in the 2023 Africa Netball Cup final in Gaborone, Botswana.
The Namibians reached the final for the first time in their history on account of a superior goal difference compared to Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabweans only managed to beat Eswatini by 58-48 baskets on Monday but needed to score a goal difference of at least 17.
Today's match will be a thriller, with Namibia looking to start the match off strongly after they lost 52-42 against Zambia in the round-robin match.
Since the inception of the competition, Malawi has won it twice: in 2010 and 2012. South Africa were the 2013 winners. In 2015, Zimbabwe scooped the cup, and 2017 saw Uganda emerge as the winners. The years 2019 and 2021 were won by South Africa.
