Bottom side delivers shock to NPL leaders

Okakarara Young Warriors delivered a proper shock in the Debmarine Namibia Premier League on Saturday, as the bottom-of-the-log team scored a home win by 1-0 against previously unbeaten log leaders Khomas Nampol.
Supporters at the Omulunga Stadium in Grootfontein saw the local heroes end the winning streak fo the police club from the central region with a winning goal by Edwin Axakhoeb. At the other end, Okakarara’s goalkeeper Nyambe also delivered a great performance to deny the visitors any reply.
The result leaves Eeshoke Chula Chula from Oshakati as the only unbeaten team so far this season.
• At Windhoek’s Unam Stadium, coastal visitors Blue Waters scored a convincing 4-1 victory against Civics.
Pandeni Kandjabanga, Isaskar Gurirab, Erastus Kulula and Lazarus Gattuso scored goals for Blue Waters, who were runners-up during the previous campaign.
• A road accident in which four visiting players were injured, prevented the scheduled match between Young Brazilians and Julinho Sporting from Rundu to be played at the northern border town.
According to reporting, four Brazilians players suffered minor injuries in the accidetn between Grootfontein and Otavi.
