Blue Water 1 emerged victorious in a Division 1 Coastal League T30 match against Sparta on Saturday at the Oval in Walvis Bay.Blue Water 1 won the game by 130 runs after Sparta won the toss and elected to bowl first.Zhivago Groenewald and Morne van Bosch opened the bowling for Sparta. Groenewaldwas particularly impressive, taking 3 wickets, bowling 2 maiden overs and conceding only 12 runs. Van Bosch and Connor Bouwer also contributed with a wicket each.Blue Waters scored 224 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 30 overs. Max Heingo, with 69 runs (five 6&#039;s and three 4&#039;s) from 56 balls, was the top run hitter. Ettienne Beukes added 51 runs from 59 balls and Ricardo Strauss added 50 runs from 25 balls. Sparta needed to chase down 225 runs to win the match in their 30 overs and was bowled out for 94 runs in 22.4 overs.The top run scorers for Sparta were Brandon Groenewald with 18 runs from 22 balls, Morne van Bosch with 14 runs from 27 balls, and Wimpie Martins with 13 runs from 22 balls.
