In sy boek, Reason Enough, skryf Clark Pinnock dat Jesus meer rewolusionêr was as alle rewolusionêre magte.

Hoe dikwels sien ons brandende karre en gewelddadige betogings, rebellemagte en vryheidsvegters wat glo dat verandering deur geweld die enigste oplossing is. Natuurlik verwerp ons die emosionele, fisieke, geestelike en politieke onderdrukking en uitbuiting van God se mense en sy skepping. Pinnock skryf dat die rewolusie wat Hy in gedagte gehad het, ʼn radikale hartsverandering was. Dit het ʼn bekering weg van selfsug na die gewillige diens van God en aan mense in die algemeen ingehou. Hy het ons geroep om ons vyande lief te hê – nie om hulle te vernietig nie.

Wanneer ons die middelpunt is, maak ons rewolusie ander seer. Met Jesus as die middelpunt van ons lewe kom daar ruimte vir ander. Dis die kruisevangelie.
