Mahatma Gandhi het gesê daar sou nie ’n enkele Hindu in Indië oorbly as Christene volgens hulle geloof sou lewe nie. Watter soort lewe sal mense oortuig dat Jesus ’n verskil maak?

Jesus lees uit Jesaja in die sinagoge. Hy maak daarop aanspraak dat die woorde vervul is. Jesaja se woorde is deur Jesus se lewe vervul. Sy bediening maak duidelik wat God se droom vir ’n gebroke wêreld is. Sy hele bediening was ingestel op die totale nood van mense. As ons hierdie Jesus verstaan en volg, sal ons skouer aan die wiel sit as ons nood sien.

Moeder Teresa skryf: Om gelukkig met God te lewe voorveronderstel sekere dinge: om lief te hê soos Hy liefhet; om te gee soos Hy gee; om te help soos Hy help; om te red soos Hy red; om 24 uur van die dag in sy teenwoordigheid te lewe; om Hom in die armes en die wat ly, aan te raak. . .
