Nuwe woef vir teenstropingseenheid

Die Wilhelmstal-Okasise-boerevereniging het onlangs ’n nuwe spoorhond aan die K9-teenstropingseenheid geskenk nadat een van die eenheid se honde dood is terwyl hy op die spoor van gewapende rowers was. Die teenstropingseenheid behoort aan Rickus Spangenberg. Die spoorhond het die Namibiese polisie (NamPol) gehelp om die misdadigers vas te trek wat ’n onderneming op Karibib beroof het, maar het toe van hitte-uitputting omgekom. Die boerevereniging het toe, tesame met skenkings deur plaaslike boere, ’n geskikte hondjie gekry om aan Spangenberg te oorhandig om op te lei. Janko Meyer kon ‘n geskikte hondjie in ’n kort tydperk opspoor. In die foto oorhandig Meyer (ver links) die hond aan Spangengberg (met die hondjie in sy arms).
