Die omgeegroep van die NG Kerk op Swakopmund het 'n helpende uitgereik na behoeftige inwoners op die kusdorp en het verskeie koskombuise besoek waar hul geskenkpakkies aan tot 247 kwesbare mense afgelewer het. Van die begunstigdes was by die Anne's Angels-sopkombuis en ook by Elaide Uiras se sopkombuis. Met gebrekkige fondse om kos te koop, moet van die lede van die omgeegroep dikwels self inspring om die nodige bestanddele te koop en kan hulle tans kinders by die betrokke sopkombuise net twee keer 'n week voed.
