With more than a hundred years of experience, Wispeco Namibia had its beginnings in the supply of nails.
Its operations successfully endured the battles of World War 1, and more than a century later it has expanded continuously thanks to innovation and diversification.
Today the company no longer only supplies a variety of products in steel, glass and aluminium, but is also a leader in the field of manufacturing multi-faceted window frames and doors.
Thanks to this transformation in operations, Wispeco enjoys ongoing success, with sales to the building industry right across Southern Africa. Their unparalleled high-tech die manufacturing processes contribute significantly to the high-end finishes of property developers and on par with leading global producers.
In Namibia, Wispeco’s staff complement of 180 stretches across three manufacturing plants. Of the two plants in Windhoek, one focuses on the manufacturing of steel products, while the other is responsible for aluminium and glass. The third plant is situated in Swakopmund and concentrates on aluminium extrusion.
Wispeco is a proud employer and promoter of gender-balance and equality, with its manufacturing operations mainly powered by masculinity while the helpful and vigilant ladies are responsible for operations and administrative tasks, thereby contributing to their mission to be the most competent, successful and socially responsible business in the industry.
