Windhoek Hoërskool (WHS) in die hoofstad is tydens 'n onlangse prysuitdeling as verlede jaar se toppresteerder vir regeringskole aangewys. WHS het die beker vir die beste regeringskool vir graad 12 (hoërvlak-uitslae) verwerf, asook die topposisie vir sy graad 10- en 12-leerlinge se uitslae in 2017 behaal. Die skool spog boonop met die beste prestasie in rekeningkunde in die land, wat private skole insluit. Me. Gaggie Delport is as beste onderwyser vir graad 12-wiskunde op hoër vlak aangewys. Me. Dinette de Beer het die rekeningkundebeker vir dié vak se prestasie ontvang.
