Volleyball produces results
It took three rounds of action to find the final four athletes with a notable performance.
The fifth Timeout Beach Series 2017 event of the year, the King and Queen of the Beach 2017, was hosted at DTS Beach Arena last weekend.
Volleyball athletes in the three two-a-side categories; men's, ladies and legends competed.
The ladies competition saw some of the best beach volleyball athletes in Namibia battle it out for the title of 'Queen of the Beach'.
The ladies played in two groups of four athletes, playing round robin format. The one lady with the lowest scores from the first round would fall out and top seed Rosi Hennes would replace her to make a newly seeded second round.
The second round again saw two groups playing three one-set matches, with the top two in each group going into the final and the bottom two, playing for five to eight positions.
The final four comprised of Rosi Hennes, Carmen Keuhn, Simone von Wietersheim and Carmen Curschmann.
After a royal battle, Keuhn's managed to win all her three games with the other three athletes finishing on one win each and the silver and bronze podium places were decided on a points difference.
