He started his very own brokerage company called DPM Insurance Brokers with two of his partners after working at Alexander Forbes insurance company for five years.Tasks and dutiesAs an insurance consultant, Haimbodi is responsible for providing expert insurance solutions to clients and educating and guiding them to make good short-term and long-term insurance decisions. “I strive to make obtaining the right cover hassle-free and as simple as possible. I take the headache of getting quotes and lengthy paperwork away from our clients, so that valued clients can spend that time on the things that really matter to them,” he said. Haimbodi ensures that clients are looked after, and that they receive the best possible cover at the best prices.He can testify that starting one’s own brokerage company is not easy.“One of the challenges is convincing clients that you are there to help them.” This has not discouraged Haimbodi and he has persevered to provide his clients with a quality product he can be proud of. BackgroundHaimbodi was born in Swakopmund, but attended primary school in Windhoek. “I was one of the first children to finish my Grade 7 at the Michelle Mclean Primary School. I attended high school at Academia Secondary School. I am currently holding a national certificate in business from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (Nust).”With his winning smile, Haimbodi believes that the measure of who we are is “what we do with what we have”. He strives to use every opportunity he is given to the best of his ability. “What inspires me is knowing that only you can change the current situation that you’re in, no matter where you come from.
