Uitverkoop in 'n kits

Audrey van der Westhuizen
Klagte:

Pupkewitz plaas in (verlede) Vrydag se koerant 'n "clearance sale" op teëls vir 40 per m². Ry van ver af. "Sorry, wrong price." Kon hulle nie net 'n stukkie in koerant geplaas het en gesê het die prys verkeerd was nie? Sal nooit weer by hulle koop nie. "Lost an old and long time client."

Reaksie:

Ronel Claasen, Group Marketing Communication Manager writes;

Pupkewitz Megabuild, with reference to the complaint received on 31 January 2017, would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by our clearance sale as advertised on the cover of Republikein on 27 January 2017.

We take great care to ensure that important matters, such as this complaint are properly dealt with immediately. The managing director and branch manager's mobile numbers are available at cashier points for your convenience.

The sale was not a promotion but a clearance sale, which means that these tiles were the last batches offered at a ridiculously low price on a first come first serve basis. Due to the nature of the sale, the term “WHILE STOCKS LAST” was clearly communicated on the advert – once stock is sold out, the sale is over.

The wording “VARIOUS TILES FROM N$39.99 . . .” refers to the rate that some tiles will be at N$39.99 and other tiles will be more expensive. On this occasion, stock was sold out immediately.

In light of this, we would like to invite you to either contact the branch manager at the branch you visited, or Pupkewitz Megabuild's head office. We would be happy to provide you with a list of tiles that may still be available at clearance sale prices.
