Die Kankervereniging van Namibië (CAN) se nasionale uitreikprogram vir 2018 skop Maandag om 09:00 by die Rehoboth-kliniek af.

Dinsdag besoek die uitreikaksie die Stampriet-kliniek om 11:00, Woensdag die Aranos-kliniek om 09:00 en Donderdag om 10:00 die Mariental-kliniek.

Dié program behels kliniese borsondersoeke en papsmere vir vroue, sowel as ’n bloedtoets om prostaatfunksie te toets en indien nodig, ’n ondersoek vir moontlike testikulêre kanker vir mans.

Dit sluit ook ’n praatjie in oor hoe om ’n gesonde leefstyl te handhaaf, en hoe om kanker te voorkom. Dit sal by die onderskeie klinieke, sowel as by skole aangebied word.

Die eerste 100 vroue en 40 mans se ondersoeke is gratis. Indien daar nog tyd beskikbaar is, kos verdere ondersoeke N$70 per pasiënt.

Vroue word versoek om hul eie kamerjasse vir die ondersoeke saam te bring. Vanjaar se uitreikprogram word deur Gondwana Collection Namibia, Bank Windhoek en die Sanlam Gholf-uitdaagtoernooi ondersteun.
