Die menseregteprokureur, mnr. Norman Tjombe, het vanaand tydens ‘n gesprek met mnr. Dimbulukeni Nauyoma van die Herstellende Herposisioneringsbeweging (AR) sy steun agter dié beweging se beroep vir ‘n landswye verbruikersboikot teen Shoprite gegooi.
Tjombe sê as Shoprite in sy poging slaag om 93 werkers vir miljoene se skadevergoeding ná ‘n staking in 2015 te dagvaar, sal dit rampsoedig vir werkers oral in Namibië wees.
"Dit is hoe Shoprite wil verseker werkers leer die les om nooit weer enige arbeidsaksie te neem nie," sê Tjombe.
Die AR beplan om Donderdag tydens etenstyd ter ondersteuning van die werkers voor die Shoprite-winkel in Windhoek se middestad te betoog.
