Jaarliks val die fokus op 25 November tydens die Internasionale Dag om Geweld teen Vroue en Meisies te Stop op die stygende aantal gevalle van geslagsgeweld teen die wêreld se vroue. Vanjaar is die tema digitale geweld en die teistering wat vroue en meisies dikwels aanlyn moet verduur. Tans het vroue en meisies minder maniere om hulself aanlyn te beskerm as intellektuele eiendom waarop daar kopiereg is. Die oortreding van 'n kopiereg kan lei tot die onmiddellike verwydering van die gewraakte materiaal en kriminele strawwe, iets wat nie in die geval van onder meer foto's is wat sonder 'n vrou se toestemming versprei word nie. Klem moet veral gelê word op jong mense wie se gebruik van tegnologie hulle in 'n hoë risiko-kategorie plaas, met jong meisies wat die inligting en metodes moet hê om hulself ten volle aanlyn te beskerm.
