Shops open doors at new Otjiwarongo shopping complex
Safland Property Group Namibia started construction on the modern shopping complex situated opposite Pick ?n Pay in January this year, and as promised by Safland chairperson Ranga Haikali earlier, the construction of the complex is nearing completion before the target date of April 2013.
This has enabled clothing store Exact to open last Friday, while two more shops ? Edgars and Jet Mart ? were set to hold their official openings yesterday.
More good news is that shops like Totalsports, Clicks, Mr Price Home and the fast-food outlet Hungry Lion will be opening at the complex too.
In an interview with Nampa on Wednesday, Edgars and JetMart?s Operational Manager, Frank Chipman said the two shops will hold a two-day promotion with reduced prices on most products.
?Our promotion takes place Friday. We want to give our customers an opportunity to feel what we have to offer them,? said Chipman.
The new complex is the first of its kind in Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa Region.
During a groundbreaking ceremony in August this year, Haikali told Nampa that the shopping complex would be completed before April 2013.
Actual construction on the complex started in January this year.
Haikali said Safland would invest over N$55 million in the project.
