Dié foto toon die vlak van die Oranjerivier gister by die Velloorsdrif-Onseepkans-brug suid van Karasburg. Amptelike lesings wat gisteroggend by Blouputs sowat 120 km stroomop geneem is, wys die riviervlak was op 3,67 m, en 2 279 kubieke meter water per sekonde het daar verbygevloei. Die voorspelling is dat 'n volgende vloedgolf Prieska in die Noord-Kaap teen Woensdag sal bereik wat selfs hoër sal wees as die piek van 4 Februarie toe sowat 2 900 kubieke meter water per sekonde by dié dorp gemeet is.
