SBN makes nearly half a billion through estate agents
WINDHOEK. ? Standard Bank Namibia (SBN) has raked in N$496 million worth of business through estate agents between 1 October 2010 and 30 September 2011.
?Such an achievement is as a result of estate agents? commitment and loyalty towards the bank,? said SBN Managing Director Mpumzi Pupuma during the annual SBN Estate Agent Grand Finale held on Saturday evening at the Safari Hotel in the capital.
He said that SBN highly values the relationship established with estate agents, and trusts that this will enhance to greater heights in the new year.
Pupuma encouraged the bank?s Home Loan Department team to capitalise on every opportunity to better serve estate agents and customers.
The number of participating estate agents in the Estate Agent campaign increased by 50 per cent, compared to the previous period. SBN also introduced the Personal Application Scoring (PAS) System, which can approve a loan within 48 hours.
Pupuma explained that the bank also used Risk-Based Pricing, which determines the Behaviour Risk Indicator (BRI) of a customer and offer a competitive interest rate to that customer.
The bank also appointed nine external valuators, which played a huge role in improving services, according to Pupuma.
Lisa Engels won the Central Estate Agent of the Year category; Hedwig Naris ? the Country Estate Agent category; SLE Properties ? Central Estate Agency category; Grobbies Estate ? Country Estate Agency category; and Jimmy Construction ? Developer of the Year. Ndaindila Haukelo-Shikongo was awarded for bringing in the highest number of deals for the bank.
