Right to complain

We would wish to lodge our disappointment with this reference made in the cartoon dated 1 June 2021: “Jy al ooit gesien dat die Chinese en DM Rails op die Kranzberg-lyn werk?”
As much as we appreciate the satirical approach of cartoons, this may be construed by readers that the train accident which occurred at the Kranzberg siding recently may have been a result of shoddy workmanship on the part of D&M Rail Construction.
We would wish to make it clear that D&M Rail Construction is not and has not recently been engaged in any rail rehabilitation or construction at the Kranzberg siding. That work was done by another contractor.
Furthermore, it must be noted that an investigation into the matter has been lodged which would, no doubt, reveal the cause of the incident.
D&M Rail Construction, as the premier Namibian rail construction company prides itself on the provision of professional services and its track record pretty much speaks for itself.
We appreciate the right to complain and trust on a long and mutually respectful professional relationship.
