Today and tomorrow SKW Gymnastics Academy will host the national championships for rhythmic gymnastics. Around 130 gymnasts from Swakopmund, Tsumeb, Walvis Bay and Windhoek will compete in different routines like ball, clubs, free-dance, hoop, ribbon and rope. Today the levels 4 to 7 and high performance gymnasts will be in action between 08:30 and 19:00, followed by the prize-giving at 19:30.
Tomorrow the programme starts at 07:30 with the little ones (level 1-3), followed by the group performances and the prize-giving scheduled for 12:00.
A number of the high-performance gymnasts compete in various international events, including invitational competitions and the world championships, so quality gymnastics is guaranteed.
