Rhino Park Private Hospital

ON June 1st 1994, Rhino Park Healthcare Centre opened its doors to the public as a six bed day hospital specialising in dental surgery and primary health care.

Since those humble beginnings 15 years ago, this private health care facility has grown into a multifaceted hospital offering the latest technology and state of the art equipment.

With the opening of the newly inaugurated N$30 million wing comprising the 15 bed maternity and 18 bed paediatric wards on Monday this week, Rhino Park Private Hospital again demonstrated its commitment to the betterment of health care delivery in Namibia.
Rhino Park Private Hospital can therefore proudly announce that it now offers the following:

• 37 adult beds;

• 20 paediatric cots;

• 15 post-natal beds with a theatre and two labour wards;

• one neonatal unit with an adjacent ICU and eight ICU and high care cots;

• three general operating theatres;

• two general ICU beds;

• three high care beds;

• a pharmacy which serves both in- and out-patients;

• a radiology department which provides general radiology, ultrasound and CAT scan services; as well as

• laboratory services.
During the official inauguration of the new wing on Friday, May 29th, by the Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Richard Kamwi, the hospital’s management again committed itself to the people of Namibia.

“We are investing in Namibia because we believe in Namibia and the Namibian people,” Mr. Christo van Niekerk, well-known businessman and founder of the hospital, said.

“We have managed to provide a dignified and caring health service for our patients and have created new job opportunities for the people of Namibia. We have made a name for ourselves as a young, growing and dynamic Namibian company and are proud of what we have achieved.”

According to the managing director, Dr. Solly Amadhila, Rhino Park Private Hospital renders quality medical services and strives to offer comfort, consolation and counselling of the highest standard to its patients.

“We shall seek to address the whole person paradigm of mind, body, heart and spirit.”

On behalf of the hospital he promised to appropriately respond to Namibian’s health needs by means of proper needs’ analysis and the discretional application of available resources.
