Denver Kisting op Rehoboth - Dr. Peya Mushelenga, minister van streeks- en plaaslike ontwikkeling, het vanmiddag (Donderdag) die Rehoboth-dorpsraad in die pad gesteek.
Hy het sy adjunkminister, mnr. Derek Klazen, gestuur om die boodskap oor te dra.
Mushelenga het me. Natalia /Goagoses (foto) aangestel om in die tussentyd na die belange van dié beleërde dorpsraad om te sien. Sy is die afgetrede hoofstreeksbeampte van die Erongostreek.
Terselfdertyd het die minister die skorsing van die hoof uitvoerende beampte, mnr. Christoph Uirab, opgehef.
Kragtens 'n kennisgewing wat vandag in die Staatskoerant gepubliseer is, neem Mushelenga die raad oor.
Die minister het by monde van Klazen ge waarsku dat hy voortaan onmiddellik teen enige plaaslike owerheid gaan optree "wanneer dissipline, orde, harmonie en dienslewering op die spel geplaas word en in openbare belang".
