Pupkewitz Construction Equipment delivers again
OVER the past few years, in the face of strong global economic growth and unprecedented customer demand, Pupkewitz Motors Division has remained steadfast in their commitment to sustainable development.
It is with this in mind that the division has recently expanded into the heavy construction equipment industry by adding Pupkewitz Construction Equipment to its offering. Pupkewitz Construction Equipment recently handed over two Volvo EC210 BLC tracked excavators to Kraft Holdings, which was awarded the transport tender from Weatherly.
The machines will be used to transport ore from Weatherly?s Matchless mine, to its operations in Otjihase. Weatherly?s will use one excavator to load their trucks at Matchless and the other to offload and feed the crusher at Otjihase. As the world?s second biggest manufacturer of engines for heavy equipment, Volvo has an unbeatable advantage.
With in-house developed drive trains ? designed for the tough demands on articulated haulers ? the A30E has the power and durability needed for maximal productivity.
In addition, the Volvo A30E is designed for hauling shot rock and similar materials, since the body is reinforced with thicker body plates. The D9-engine is equipped with Volvo Advanced Combustion Technology which is designed to efficiently use every drop of fuel.
The turbocharged, low-emission diesel engine features electronically controlled direct-injection and intercooler. These elements, as well as Volvo?s automatic Powertronic transmission and Volvo?s in-line drop box, which has less moving parts than a traditional drop box, thereby ensuring minimal power losses, makes the A30E the ideal machine that Weatherly Mining had in mind when it transports the copper ore from its underground mining operations and off loading it above ground to be transported to its Otjihase facility.
Commenting on the A30E?s features, Robert Dedig, Sales Manager of Pupkewitz Construction Equipment said: ?In extraction, availability ranks high. Productivity is measured by the greatest amount of material moved in the shortest amount of time. Volvo gets the job done ? with more uptime, more productivity and more safety. They have the power, breakout force and durability required in quarries and hard banks.
?At Pupkewitz Construction Equipment we will continue to position ourselves in such a way that we can deliver high quality customer service which is expected by our clientele. Volvo Construction Equipment is different. Our machines are designed, built and supported in a different way. That difference comes from an engineering heritage of more than 175 years; a heritage of thinking first, about the people who use the machines and about how to help them be safer, more comfortable, more productive, including the environment we share. The result is a growing range of machines and a global support network dedicated to helping you do more. People around the world are proud to use Vol vo. And we?re proud of what makes Volvo different.?
