Protect the unborn

Dear President Hage Geingob. Somewhere in the media, I picked up that somebody complimented you that you are a President for all Namibians. Agreed, thank you for that. We honour and respect you.

There is a group, President that you must not forget. That is the unborn Namibians. They are even more important, because they are the defenseless.

Yesterday, I heard over the Damara/Nama Radio they mentioned the word “abortion”. Asking our domestic worker what they say, she said that they want to abort the children, because some males do not care about them.

This language does not have a word to describe the act of abortion.

It is inhumane and ungodly to kill your “problems”. People tried it in war and parties always are carrying scars.

When family life, the community, churches, schools and political parties failed, the worst thing that can happen is to start waging war on the blameless ones.

Honorable President, we had a day of prayer during Covid lockdown. The preacher said: “Hear our cry Lord, answer our prayer”. Up to now nobody lost their life in this crisis.

You may follow the “world” by making abortion lawful and may be you will see a different story. How can we ask from God in Christ's Name to respect lives and we cruelly destroy them.

Job said: ”Ek weet dat U alles kan doen en dat geen plan vir U onuitvoerbaar is nie.” If we tune our focus and will to solve social problems, the help will be unlimited.

My family experienced the impact of an unplanned child. We handled the problem and have a lovely granddaughter. I can tell you more about the emotions of all parties, but the young mother is the one to be supported.

The new born child is to be loved. With hope.
