The visit by the Namibian president is a return visit after the Liberian leader came to Namibia, at which time both countries signed a framework agreement on economic, technical, scientific, cultural and tourism cooperation, seeking mutual benefits in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, gender equality and child welfare.

The agreement also covered areas of cooperation in vocational training, industry, mining and energy, education, culture and tourism, amongst others.
