Onderwys: ‘Gebruik wat julle het om fondse in te samel’

Die minister van onderwys, kuns en kultuur, me. Katrina Hanse-Himarwa het ’n beroep op skole gedoen om beskikbare middele te gebruik om fondse vir hul hulpbronbasis in te samel. Volgens Hanse-Himarwa het sommige skole ten spyte van nasionale riglyne swak beheer oor die gebruik van fondse vir Universele Primêre Onderrig (UPE) en Universele Sekondêre Onderrig (USE). Sy het voorts gesê ’n groot persentasie van die geld word vir vervoer en ongekoördineerde en onnodige reise gebruik. Hanse-Himarwa het ’n beroep op skoolhoofde gedoen om etiese beginsels in die gebruik van fondse en in veral vir onderrigmateriaal toe te pas. Ongerymdhede wat in ouditverslae uitkom, moet ook onverwyld ondersoek en getakel word. - Nampa
