NRU league comes alive

The country’s rugby premier league was at the centre of attention this weekend after the top teams battled each other for bragging rights and places in the semi-finals.
FNB Wanders, FNB Unam, FNB Western Suburbs and FNB Rehoboth all advanced to the semi-finals of the Namibia Rugby Uinion (NRU) league following their matches played at the weekend.
Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) was part of the drama after broadcasting the match between FNB Grootfontein and FNB Kudus live from Grootfontein.
FNB Grootfontein 1 made sure their home fans were not left disappointed after a 46-22 victory over FNB Kudus 1.
Meanwhile in the capital, FNB Unam overturned a 21-19 halftime score-line to beat FNB Western Suburbs 36-29 in the NRU Premier League at the Unam Sports Field.
FNB Wanderers also secured their place in the semi-finals after beating Trustco United 36-15 in Windhoek.
FNB Rehoboth were successful after beating Reho Falcon 34-24 in another pulsating match.
