No good reasons to wait and see

The biggest advance in public health, in the twentieth century, were access to clean, safe water and vaccinations.
Smallpox and polio were eliminated!
In the 1917/18 Spanish Flue, after WW1, plus minus 52 million people, many were young, died, out of a population of plus minus 1,7 billion. There was no vaccine!
In 2020/21, the Covid-19 pandemic has to date killed about 7 million out of 7 billion. It has disrupted travel, economies and overwhelmed health services. The at-risk population are the elderly and those with comorbidities.
China, the source of the pandemic, has controlled the outbreak the best, through hand/no touch hygiene, compulsory masks, social distancing, uncrowding, lockdowns, quarantine and vaccinations. They have discipline.
The USA's response under Trump was haphazard – how not to do it!
But now the penny has dropped. To break the pandemic, we need to reach eighty percent herd immunity. This is only possible with a massive fast forward vaccination campaign, to break the transmission cycle.
Ninety percent of deaths from Covid-19 were not vaccinated. Use your common sense and make an informed decision to vaccinate. It is a shield against complications and death.
Namibia has a long way to go. We are only ten percent vaccinated. Our health and economy go hand in hand.
Vaccinate through the valley of darkness, and come out alive at the other end, with hope.
People who oppose vaccination, have a death wish. Ignorance is not bliss.
