New Shell service station opened at Oshakati

PHILLEPUS UUSIKUThe new Oshakati Shell opened its doors over the festive season to an expecting public. With refuelling and eating options, the new Shell facility’s strategic location serves the goods transportation, trucking industry and motorists using the busy northern town’s links to other north-central regions of the country.The new development brings Vivo Energy Namibia’s network of Shell service stations to 68 across the country. Motorists within Oshakati and surrounding areas are expected to make up the majority of customers at this place. The facility offers extensive parking, ideal for customers making use of the Welcome Shop, Vivo Energy’s own brand of quick service restaurants. The shop offers a wide range of convenience retail products for the discerning traveller as well as free WiFi.Luis Marques, an experienced service station retailer, is the operator of this new company. He is quietly optimistic about the business prospects of the new service station. Employment“This service station serves a very busy urban public where people, goods and services get transported daily. We are happy to have created employment in the area through the training of local customer champions and store personnel, and expect this value to trickle over into other facets of the local economy,” he stated. “After a construction period disrupted by restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic we are very pleased that the site is up and running.
