Netball teams bring heat to the court

RIVALDO KAVANGAWINDHOEKTigers FC coach Morné Pienaar admitted that his side was caught by surprise following Eleven Arrows’ performance over the weekend.The two teams approached the match eager to collect maximum points, with the Windhoek-based side emerging victorious.Having travelled all the way from Walvis Bay, Arrows had a point to prove given that they were yet to register a victory on the log.The coastal team delivered a performance that had the Tigers bench scratching their heads on several occasions, forcing a 62-30 defeat.“It was challenging and it was not an easy game given that we conceded 30 goals.“Eleven Arrows’ attacking players were aggressive and managed to beat our defence,” Pienaar said.Pienaar was satisfied with his team’s victory, which enabled them to keep their title aspirations alive.“I am happy with the team’s performance even though we will have to go back to the drawing board to ensure that we play better against stronger teams.”Eleven Arrows on the other hand felt that they could have done better to put up great fight against a team that is in form.“The results were very disappointing but there were glimpses of us playing well even though Tigers showed their class.“It is clear that we should go back to the drawing board and bounce back stronger as a team,” Arrows coach Kanku Musambani remarked. Musambani added that his team lacked discipline on the court and that could have contributed to their downfall.
