Namibia's favourite beer has a new look

“It is still the same age-old recipe: malted barley, hops and water – still the same brewing process – the same passion - and therefore the same authentic flavor which made Tafel Lager so famous,” says NBL Brew Master, Christian Mueller on the new look of Namibia’s number-one beer.
The fresh make-over of the new Tafel Lager pack transpired after a consultative process with consumers was initiated which then confirmed that it was time for Tafel Lager – Namibia’s most loved beer - to adopt a new look.
Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) – subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group – National Marketing Manager, Rosemary Shippiki: “In our progressive, consumer-centric approach, we continuously challenge ourselves to meet the needs of our consumers as they will always be a top priority. It is key that our brands remain relevant with our consumers and at the same time keep up with international trends.”
Shippiki added that the brand was ready for an overhaul to keep it fresh and relevant to its consumers. “We have taken great care to refresh the packaging in a way that complements the brand, whilst maintaining the unique, quality taste that consumers have become accustomed to. The new Tafel Lager bottle has great visual appeal and presents a fresh look that reinforces its proudly Namibian status as mainstream beer leader in Namibia. In conclusion, I want to assure our loyal consumers that it is only the Tafel pack that has changed and not the content. Tafel is still the same as before - only now in a fresh new pack,” she said.
Shippiki concluded by emphasizing NBL’s commitment to promote the responsible use of alcohol. “It is important to remain cognizant of the dangers that come with the excessive use, and irresponsible consumption of alcohol. Therefore, while we appreciate and value our loyal consumers’ support, we encourage you to stay cool and enjoy responsibility.”
