Namibia Volleyball launches new internet presence

THE Namibian Volleyball Federation (NVF) officially launched its new website – www.namibiavolleyball. org – earlier this week. The upgraded website is the centrepiece of the new Namibia volleyball web presence and brings the latest local and international volleyball information and news to the Namibian volleyball community.

The website is fully integrated with social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter to create an interactive internet platform. Further, www.namibiavolleyball. org includes a virtual office of the Namibia Volleyball Federation where affiliated clubs, officials and volleyball enthusiasts can download important documents, volleyball rules and contact the NVF management.

“We also take the call by the recently established Namibian National Anti-Doping Organisation to educate our players about antidoping seriously. We want volleyball players to know exactly what is permitted and what is not,” says NVF marketing director, Heiko Diehl.

The NVF is the first Namibian sports federation to include elearning on anti-doping on its website. With this new website the Namibian Volleyball Federation not only sets standards in Namibia, but also for all other volleyball federations on the African continent.

This again indicates that the Namibian Volleyball Federation takes its vision, namely for volleyball to become the most popular sport in Namibia and also to become the No 1 volleyball country in Africa, seriously.
