Namibia Dairies sponsors Ramblers Football Academy

NAMIBIA Dairies announced its N$300,000 football sponsorship contract with the Ramblers Soccer Academy that will run over a period of two years. The sponsorship is aimed at developing and growing young Namibian football talent.

?We are following the education debate with keen interest and we believe that education, good nutrition and sport are an integral part of the development of any individual.

?We are proud to join hands with the Ramblers Soccer Academy to enable kids to build their football skills and grow the people?s game further at youth level.

?The Soccer Academy fits perfectly with our sponsorship strategy and hopefully this is only the start of greater things to come,? Hubertus Hamm, Namibia Dairies managing director said.

?We are looking forward to see graduates of the Ramblers Soccer Academy developing into competitive players in Namibia?s top league, representing the Brave Warriors or even major clubs abroad. With the right foundation, I am sure we will see some of these kids in the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga or the German Bundesliga in years to come,? he added.

The deal guarantees Namibia Dairies exclusive rights to the Ramblers Soccer Academy for the next two years and all players gear will carry the nammilk brand.

Accepting the generous sponsorship was Ramblers chairman Ralf Behrens, who said: ?Ramblers FC, established in 1945, is amongst very few clubs in the domestic football setup boasting a complete youth development programme and its own facilities consisting inter alia of two playing fields with floodlights and change rooms.

?Our academy involves players ranging from the age groups U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17. These players will go through the ranks to make Namibia proud one day.

?At Ramblers we are striving for professionalism and the reality is that this can only come via increased direct sponsorships. We are therefore extremely grateful and honoured to have secured Namibia Dairies as a smart strategic partner.

?Positioning the Namibia Dairies nammilk brand with the youth is a perfect fit, because milk and other dairy products are healthy and nutritious and they form an integral part of building a healthy body at such a young age,? Behrens said.
