Namibië het nou 615 gevalle van Covid-19

Namibië se aantal bevestigde Covid-19-gevalle staan nou op 615, nadat nog 22 gevalle die afgelope 24 uur in die land aangeteken is. Volgens die minister van gesondheid en maatskaplike dienste (MoHSS) dr. Kalumbi Shangula is een geval 'n buitelander en die res Namibiërs.

Uit die 22 nuwe gevalle is 20 van Walvisbaai, een van Oshakati in die Oshanastreek en een van Luderitz in die //Kharasstreek. Die geval op Oshakati is 'n kontak van 'n bevestigde geval, terwyl die geval op Luderitz 'n bemanningslid op 'n vaartuig is.

Die jongste geval is 21 jaar oud en die oudste 60 jaar oud. Volgens Shangula is 12 624 weefselmonsters tot op hede getoets en is 844 mense tans in kwarantyn in geriewe oraloor in die land.
