NAC launches corporate website
The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) recently launched its newly-designed corporate website. At the official launch the CEO of NAC, Mr Tamer El-Kallawi, said this marked yet another milestone in the company’s turnaround endeavours as it contributed to social transformation and development of the nation, by sharing with the rest of the world important information and initiatives of the NAC.
“The vision of NAC is to be a world-class service provider in airport operations and management. However, NAC is unlikely to realise this dream if it does not embrace information and communication technology.
“It is for this reason that today NAC unveils its new website as one of the many technological initiatives it is using to realise its vision.”
El-Kallawi went on to say that the website was the NAC’s answer to communicate and inform the world about the organisation in a visibly attractive and interactive way.
“The NAC website, which compares favourably with any of the websites of airports around the world, is an important tool used to disseminate information to its stakeholders in Namibia and beyond.
“The old website we are formally replacing today had a number of limitations, which made it difficult for NAC to reflect most of its activities.
“Data on the website was minimal and infrastructure did not allow easy updates.
“On the other hand, the website we are launching today is a modern piece of work which has been developed using modern technologies.
“The new website is designed to meet the expectations of members of staff and the general public.
“It endeavours to provide key information on airport operations, corporate social responsibility and virtually captures all activities that the organisation engages in on a daily basis.
“This will increase traffic as more users will find the site valuable hence marketing the organisation.”
NAC was furthermore pleased to announce that on the website interested parties would be able to access NAC social media pages’ links such as Facebook and Twitter.
“I have been informed that the NAC Facebook page is a hive of activity with users posting their comments on the quality of our services.
NAC welcomes all comments and endeavours to use this information for our improvement initiatives. Through these pages, you will regularly be kept abreast of activities of NAC.
The launch of this website, therefore, is a step in the right direction for the company to join the ranks of modern airports,” concluded the CEO.
