MEGASAVE Omaheke is not just another wholesaler. Their commitment to excellence in all aspects of running a store won them the prestigious title of Best Megasave Store in the Namibian division of the OK Franchise Division, a member of the Shoprite/Checkers group.
Megasave Omaheke in Gobabis has been in the hands of owner Hennie van Niekerk for the past decade. His business started out as a liquor store, but after he realised the opportunity of extending the offering, it has grown into a highly profitable wholesaler. However, achieving success in the wholesale industry is no easy task.
?It requires a lot of hard work and you have to keep your fingers on hundreds of things at the same time,? says Hennie.
In addition, he has to deal with other challenges like very strong competition as well as less feet in the store than in the urban areas. But judging by Megasave Omaheke?s performance, Hennie has mastered the art of overcoming these challenges.
To ensure the winners of this award are deserving of the honour, the OK Franchise Division has compiled a comprehensive list of criteria by which the stores are judged over the course of a year.
This list includes growth, general store standards, customer service, staff motivation, community involvement, administrative excellence and loyalty.
